Centre Of Japanese Studies \u2013 Bucharest University of Economics Studies <\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>

The Centre of Japanese Studies, within the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE) was founded in March 2018. At the official opening, which took place on the 15th of November 2018, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed with the company Human Resocia (Japan), the sponsors of the Center. The Counsellor of the Embassy of Japan in Romania, Mr. Takahiko Watabe, and H. E., the former Ambassador of Romania in Japan, Mr. Constantin Vlad also attended the opening ceremony, among other distinguished guests.<\/p>\n

The objectives of the Centre of Japanese Studies ASE are: to stimulate cultural diversity and awareness; to increase ASE’s visibility in the Far East; to form partnerships with universities from Japan; to create study opportunities for students interested in Japan, or for Japanese students interested in Romania; to identify opportunities for joint Romanian-Japanese research projects; to promote the Romanian values and culture to Japan in order to develop the tourism and increase the intercultural exchanges; to introduce aspects of Japanese culture to the Romanian audience through cultural events.<\/p>\n

In March 2019 the Centre of Japanese Studies has received a donation of books within “Books 100 for Understanding Contemporary Japan Project,, initiated by the Nippon Foundation, The donation consisted of books from different scientific fields such as Economics, Literature, Pop-Culture, History, Sociology etc. In addition, Mrs. Olivia Berghianu (Exact Tours) also donated more than 200 books from her private collection.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
