Participating in the Erasmus Blended Intensive Program in Italy was an unforgettable experience that combined learning with cultural exploration in the beautiful region of Calabria.
During the week we spent there, our days were filled with engaging classes at the local university, where we delved into thought-provoking subjects and collaborated with students from around the world. The professors brought unique insights, making each session both challenging and inspiring. This diverse, international environment gave me a new appreciation for different perspectives and enriched every conversation.
Our evenings and afternoons were a time to experience Calabria’s natural beauty and local culture. Exploring coastal villages, visiting historic landmarks, and savoring authentic Italian cuisine made every day feel like an adventure. This combination of academics and cultural immersion made the Erasmus BIP not just a learning experience but a journey of self-discovery.
To my colleagues considering Erasmus opportunities, my advice is: go for it! Don’t overthink it or worry about stepping out of your comfort zone. Embrace the chance to connect with people who are different from you, and go into the experience with an open mind and heart. This journey will not only enhance your studies but also broaden your worldview in ways you can’t imagine.

On the occasion of the Erasmus program, I had the special opportunity to participate in a short-term mobility in Serbia together with my colleagues and professors of my faculty, through which I took part in a multitude of interactive activities and got to know the study, research and development of those in Serbia.
I took part in a presentation on the new technologies introduced by the Agrarian Research Institute in Belgrade, where we were received in a very familiar atmosphere by the management of the entity and very friendly.
At the same time, I also visited the Faculty of Agrarian Economics within the University of Belgrade and in this way I was able to make a comparison and at the same time find the similarities between it and our faculty in Romania.
Another destination of this trip was the EDUCONS Institute, a very nice place, where we were introduced to the laboratories and their way of working, as well as the conditions and technologies available to students who wish to study within it.
Looking back as a whole, the trip to Serbia was very interesting and captivating, which I would repeat and highly recommend.

Hey everyone!
I’m Panciu Bogdan, and I’m thrilled to share with you my recent academic adventure in Serbia. From April 21st to 27th, I had the amazing opportunity to take part in a short-term mobility program through Erasmus+.
During my Erasmus journey in Serbia, I had a blast exploring different educational institutions like Educons University of Novi Sad, the Faculty of Economics at the University of Belgrade, and The Institute of Agricultural Economics. These visits gave me a firsthand look at their awesome facilities, from high-tech labs to lively amphitheaters. Plus, I got to learn about all the cool opportunities available to students there.
It was such a rewarding experience to dive into various academic environments, each offering its own unique perspectives and learning styles. Exploring different cultures and educational systems expanded my knowledge and also made me appreciate the diversity of opportunities worldwide.
This trip was about way more than just visiting different places, it was a journey of personal growth and connecting with other cultures. It really helped me develop my intercultural perspective and left me with unforgettable memories that I’ll cherish forever.

My five-month Erasmus experience at Rutgers University was like an exciting journey into an unexplored universe, where every day challenged me with new academic aspects and meetings with remarkable people. Aside from the benefits of a stimulating academic system, I was deeply inspired by a vibrant community that not only surrounded me with cultural diversity, but also motivated me to evolve both intellectually and personally.
I would like to highlight the unconditional support provided by Professor Gregory Porumbescu, who played an essential role in my academic research. My coordinator, Professor Marius Profiroiu, had a significant impact in settling me in and establishing connections in the academic environment at Rutgers. I also acknowledge the special contribution of the Erasmus ASE team, especially Teodora and Maria, without whom this opportunity would not have had the same impact.
To those interested in taking advantage of this opportunity, I would like to convey that they will not only experience innovative academics, but also form meaningful friendships. In addition, benefits include access to an exceptional library and dedicated librarians, as well as an innovative system that provides 24/7 online access to discussions with specialist librarians.
I warmly encourage anyone to approach this Erasmus opportunity, where academic discovery blends harmoniously with self-exploration, creating truly memorable memories.

The Erasmus+ staff mobility in Serbia at the Institute of Agricultural Economics Belgrade has ended after a week of fruitful academic experiences. It was a great pleasure for me and my colleague-professors to guide more than 40 students from the Faculty of Agri-Food and Environmental Economics in this Erasmus+ journey! New paths to knowledge were built, as well as friendships! We thank the management of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies for enabling this mobility, and, in particular, Vice-Dean Roxana Pătărlăgeanu, for organizing the mobility and the actions in which an impressive number of students participated. We would also like to thank the Director of the Institute of Agricultural Economics from Belgrade, prof. Jonel Subic for the excellent hosting! Big thanks to the Erasmus+ Office from ASE and to Teodora Fulga for supporting us allthroughout the mobility. And last but not least, I thank my colleagues, prof. Raluca Drăcea and prof. Mihai Dinu, and students for the beautiful group energy that accompanied us during this wonderful week!

Going abroad is not just an exciting adventure but a life-changing experiences. That’s how I like to call every Erasmus experience I have. Now, while I am at home writing this testimonial, I realize that I miss the people and those 6 days spent in Serbia. It meant a lot for me to have the opportunity to be part of this project, to have the opportunity to learn more about the sustainable agriculture and rural development and to meetacademic personnel with a wide knowledge in the development of the agriculture and green economy. The decision to go to Serbia was not exactly up to me but I couldn’t have been happier with this destination. Especially since not just the University in Belgrade but also the city itself had a special charm and I was pleasantly surprised by the people there, by the culture and this city in general. Finally, I want to thank to my colleagues, but especially the teachers who made this project memorable. I am already waiting for new opportunities to broaden my knowledge and meet new people and places.

Last week, I embarked on an ERASMUS+ short mobility program to Serbia, marking an incredible milestone in my life. As a newcomer to ERASMUS, this expedition set the bar high for future adventures. We explored Belgrade and Novi Sad, visiting the impressive BIOSENSE Institute and the Institute of Economic Agriculture Michael Pupin in Belgrade. Attending the International Scientific Conference on Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development was enlightening, with insightful presentations from around the world. This immersive journey not only unveiled Serbia’s cultural treasures and scenic wonders but also fostered deep connections among us, transforming strangers into steadfast companions within a mere six days. Much credit goes to our professors whose meticulous planning and unwavering support elevated this experience to unforgettable heights. Their guidance and dedication ensured a seamless and enriching adventure. With this enriching chapter in Serbia behind me, I eagerly anticipate building upon these foundations in future explorations.

I am pleased to share my positive experience regarding the Erasmus+ doctoral research internship I undertook at the University of Messina in Italy from October 17, 2023, to November 14, 2023.
First and foremost, I would like to express my gratitude for the professionalism of the administrative staff at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies. Their efficiency in managing the contract and all preparations for my departure was instrumental in ensuring a smooth and well-organized experience. The support I received from them contributed significantly to the success of my Erasmus+ journey.
Participating in the Erasmus+ program has been a transformative experience, and I can confidently assert that it has significantly contributed to my personal and academic growth. This program has opened doors to a multitude of learning opportunities, cultural experiences, and professional development, providing me with a well-rounded and globally informed perspective.
During my time at the University of Messina, I had the privilege of interacting with highly skilled and professional professors. Their expertise and guidance enriched my research experience and broadened my academic horizons. Additionally, the opportunity to learn the Italian language was an invaluable aspect of my stay. This not only enhanced my communication skills but also allowed me to immerse myself in the local culture. Living and studying in different countries has exposed me to rich cultural tapestries, enabling me to appreciate diversity and fostering a global mindset. This has not only enhanced my interpersonal skills but has also equipped me with a profound appreciation for the interconnectedness of our global community.
The Erasmus+ program has been instrumental in broadening my horizons, both academically and culturally. The chance to study in diverse academic environments has exposed me to different teaching methodologies and allowed me to engage with a wide array of perspectives. Why choose Erasmus+ for Traineeships
as a PhD student? Well, why not?
Have you ever wondered what would it be like to be a foreign student and a thrilled tourist at the same time? Well, I did and this is how I managed to experience a brief, yet intense couple of months at University of Complutense, Madrid. As a PhD student, I chose the Erasmus+ for Traineeships program, which provided me a lot of flexibility regarding the duration of my stay.
From the middle of May until the middle of July, not only did I get the chance to gather plenty of information in my field of interest, but I also had the pleasure to observe and slightly immerse myself in a world where the sun was up until 11 PM. The language barrier was highly visible outside the university area, but everyone was kind enough to help me out even if we did not speak the same language.
I could barely sense the hours spent in the library, because as soon as I exited the university, I knew I had a lot to explore. From the art museums and exhibitions to the tapas bars and the walks on the famous Gran Via, everything was exactly how I expected it to be and more. Though not planned at all, I even got to see Red Bull’s Sergio Perez driving through some streets of the historic center of Madrid during a festival in the city. How cool is that?
I highly recommend this kind of program while you are a student, even if this means that you have to make Duolingo your best friend for a while. Go ahead, pack your bags and learn to flamenco your way to success!

The desire to study in Italy existed before I was a student at ASE, but due to the pandemic period it was more difficult to organize this departure. In the first stage of the Erasmus selection, I applied to the Anglophone area, but I didn’t get a place to go abroad, in the 2nd semester I was advised by Mrs. Mariana Săndulescu to apply to the Italian area if I really wanted to, which I did and applied to study at the University of Verona.
One of my fears before going on mobility was mostly the language because I had to learn very quickly and I still didn’t have a very good command of grammar and how to express myself freely.
The first two months I still didn’t realize that I had moved to Italy, I still felt like a tourist, but the difference was made by the fact that in Italy everyone welcomes you with open arms, which helped me a lot to open up to people and to improve my language level.
What I can say about the University of Verona is that it was a very difficult semester, the teaching method is different from that at ASE, and the teachers are very strict about the subjects and exams, but I was lucky with the volunteers from ESN who had the same courses as me and helped me a lot. The memories I will always have from this semester in Erasmus are most likely the friendships I formed in the first days of the semester, the goodbyes with the students from Italy who were in Erasmus at ASE last semester, the view of Verona from Castel San Pietro, the weekly picnics at Lago di Garda and of course aperitivo almost every day and cornetto al pistacchio.
If you want to go to a foreign country, I recommend that you apply to study in a foreign language other than English because the opportunities are greater, it may seem difficult at first but it is a challenge that I welcomed with open arms open and I do not regret this decision.

My name is Iulian and I’m a master’s student at the Faculty of Administration and Public Management. In April 2023, I participated in the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) ‘Good Governance: A Pathway to Resilient Organizations’, hosted by the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Zagreb, Croatia.
It was definitely a very productive experience where I was able to develop both professionally and personally. From a personal point of view, I interacted with a lot of students from different cultures, especially since they came from three international universities: Bucharest University of Economic Studies (Romania), University of Zagreb (Croatia) and Complutense University of Madrid (Spain).
Even more interesting was that all the students from Spain came actually from Latin America, being natives from Chile, Colombia, Peru and Costa Rica. Basically, it was an explosion of multiculturalism, which impacted me a lot and made me very happy.
Regarding the main topic of the BIP, the theme was the relationship between corporate governance and organizational resilience. The discussions focused on good governance and sustainable development, governance at the corporate level and the role of the board in securing resilience, resilience in leadership and how to lead despite change and obstacles. The program also included a student workshop, a simulation game of good management practices, and three study visits to different organizations: the Croatian National Bank on the topic of management in regulators, the agricultural cooperative Hortico on the topic of management in cooperatives and the city of Sisak on the subject of local self-government management.
Finally, I would like to sincerely thank the entire project team that made this Erasmus+ experience possible and, in particular, the Faculty of Administration and Public Management, for giving me the opportunity to be an ambassador and take part in this great project!

Kaunas, Lithuania 2022
To study for a semester in another country through the Erasmus+ program was the best decision I could have made. After a year of online courses in which I did not know what student life was like, I went directly to study in the small city of Kaunas in Lithuania within the faculty of Vytautas Magnus University. There I discovered many cultures, I met wonderful people from different countries and with different life perspectives, I learned to become independent in a foreign country, I traveled and developed my knowledge by learning from foreign teachers.
Was awesome! The friendships made in Erasmus+ will always remain in my soul and the experience has changed, developed and matured me even for 5 months spent in Lithuania.

Lodz, Poland 2023
Because the first Erasmus+ experience delighted me so much, I went once more for a study semester in Erasmus+, namely in Poland in the city of Lódz at the University of Lodz.
This experience was more different, I learned to be much more independent alone and far from family and friends, I met wonderful people, I traveled more than alone and even became the leader of our Erasmus group from the international circle of friends that I met them there.
There is always something worth discovering that develops you both personally and especially professionally, and the Erasmus+ experience is clearly one of them.

How my Erasmus in Germany was?
Honestly? I have no words to explain. I was supposed to leave for one semester and ended up staying for a whole year. When I returned, I was completely changed, a new mentality, new perspectives on my future.
The Erasmus experience meant a lot to me, and I will always think of it fondly.
I met people from all over the world, I made international friends, with whom I still talk almost daily, friends with whom I will forever remain in contact. I met new cultures and different traditions. I developed both personally and professionally and discovered myself better, because I evolved and took responsibility, living alone in a foreign country. I visited many places, walked and learned at the same time. I had fun and created memories, which I will always have with me and of which I will be proud.
I recommend an Erasmus mobility with all my heart. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity.❤️
What are you waiting for?
It’s your turn to go with Erasmus and write your own story.

Angelika Bujalska, Erasmus+ incoming student at ASE
Erasmus is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
Unless you go on it a second time.
My first Erasmus was in Athens, Greece. The whole experience was so interesting that I wanted to repeat it again and that is why I am on an exchange at ASE. The whole uniqueness of the trip is because nothing is predictable. When going abroad completely on your own, you don’t know if the amount of information you have gained from the internet is enough. However, what really makes this event unforgettable are the people. Living in the dormitory, I met a lot of people from different countries. After half a year, you become a family with complete strangers at the beginning and you look sadly at the days passing by.
Erasmus is also an opportunity to get to know a culture and travel anywhere. Every city hides a secret, lots of museums to discover and cheap flights.
After all, every country has a connection to the destination. There are so many possibilities. But as in most cases, it is the people who make the memories. Erasmus, apart from the culture, the people and the travel, is a great option to make your CV more inviting. By speaking a foreign language all the time, you improve your language skills and gain freedom of conversation. It is an unforgettable adventure, lifelong friendships and a time when you really get to know yourself.
I couldn’t have imagine better experiences during my studies than this.

The ERASMUS+ experience was a challenge from day one. Adapting to a completely new environment, communicating with others in a language other than my native one, and being far from my loved ones at home did not stop me from enjoying my time there. I visited many places in Poland and saw how many beautiful things this country has to offer.
I met students from all over the world, with whom I shared cultural curiosities and made friends. As a result of this experience, I developed my English communication skills, adapting to a foreign environment and socializing. And I ate a lot of traditional food of course.
My name is Vlad Petre and last semester I was an ERASMUS student in Poznań, Poland.

Portugal is an extraordinary country, where we adapted very well and where we felt at home from the first days. We had the opportunity to visit some of the most beautiful places we have ever seen. Certainly the year spent in Porto was the one in which we developed the most on all levels. After this study mobility, we decided to also go on a placement mobility in Spain, for two months. The experience was well worth it, and now we can’t imagine what life would be like without Erasmus+.

Without a doubt, the Erasmus+ program was the experience of my life. And I don’t use big words! Living alone in a foreign country, surrounded by other internationals of different cultures from all around the globe, and adapting to a new education system changed me. In a good way. I can say that I see things differently now, from a more mature perspective.
Perhaps one of the most beautiful post-Erasmus aspects is friendship. The friendship with the foreign students is still alive, although we are separated by thousands of kilometers. However, what binds us are unique memories, and we now make plans to visit each other. An aspect that I did not anticipate is that you are living your “Erasmus” even after the official end of the mobility. And I hope this experience lasts forever!

With gratitude and nostalgia, my thoughts turn to the many Erasmus mobilities I had throughout Europe (in Hungary, Croatia, France, Spain and Portugal) that paved my way to descovering and exploring new cultures.
Among the greatest achievements, I would like to highlight the passion for studying in foreign languages in the academic environment, the possibility to improve my career prospects, and the aspiration to discover new things and make new friends (networking).

This semester I was part of a Blended Intensive Erasmus+ program, which included physical presence for a week in Arnhem, the Netherlands. Although it seems like it took a while, the activities we did inspired us for a long time to come. “Van Hall Larenstein” University welcomed us with open arms!
In addition to the practical lessons we had, this experience helped us make friends with students from all over the world – Germany, Estonia, Netherlands, Mexico and India. Together we created business models for an enterprise that aims to encourage people to consume locally grown plants and even grow them themselves, thus promoting a healthy lifestyle. It was a special experience, which I would like to repeat again!

In the first semester of the 3rd year I was on a study mobility at the University of Málaga in Spain! During the six months of mobility, I was able to combine the courses within the faculty with the exploration of Spanish culture: music, dance, gastronomy. All this by traveling!
What’s cool about Erasmus is that you learn something new every step of the way!
Spain is incredible (especially Andalusia)! The people are extremely welcoming and warm, and the area is truly impressive: from the sunny beaches, to the cities full of tradition and history, all the places invite you to come back to really discover them!
I was very happy to have the chance to deepen my Spanish language level, to interact with students from all over the world and to explore the university environment from another country! The question is not whether to go with Erasmus, but where and when (although, regarding the last part, the answer is simple: NOW!
