  • ASE – ranked 1st in Romania and 201–300th overal in ShanghaiRanking 2025 in the field of Economics

    The Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE) consolidates its position as national leader in economic higher education, being ranked 1st in Romania and 201–300 overall in the field of Economics, in the recently published Shanghai Ranking Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2025.

    This positioning marks a significant evolution compared to the previous year’s ranking (301–400 overall), which attests to the international visibility and the impact of economic research conducted by ASE.

    Recognized globally for its rigorous methodology, this ranking evaluates over 2,000 universities from approximately 100 countries, based on objective indicators regarding research quality, academic impact and international collaboration.

    ASE’s performance confirms its role as a leading institution in economic research in Romania and a competitive actor on the international academic scene.

     

  • The Bucharest University of Economic Studies was present for the third consecutive year in the most prestigious academic ranking in the world – Shanghai Ranking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2019, with notable results in the fields of Economics, Business Administration, and Management. ASE was ranked 201-300 in the field of Economics, where the first three positions are occupied by American universities (University of Chicago, Harvard University and University of California, Berkeley); ASE outranked leading universities such as Complutence University of Madrid (Spain), HEC Paris (France) and Lancaster University (Great Britain). According to the same classification, ASE was ranked 201-300 in the field of Business Administration, and 401-500 in the field of Management.

    • 151-200 worldwide in Public Administration
    • 201-300 worldwide in Business Administration
    • 201-300 worldwide in Economics
    • 401-500 worldwide in Management
